An Ivy League university lacked a unified view of the student lifecycle. Data sat in silos across admissions, advising, financial aid, registrar, and alumni offices, leaving each constituent office with a partial, inconsistent picture of any given student.
To compensate, staff routinely performed manual integration work, pulling exports from multiple systems, reconciling them by hand, and questioning the result. Decisions that should have been data-driven were slowed by debate over which numbers were right. The combination of siloed sources, manual reconciliation, and uneven data quality made an accurate, real-time view of the student impossible to produce at scale.
OneSix designed and built a unified data foundation for the entire student lifecycle. The engagement opened with discovery sessions across every student-facing office to identify the high-value KPIs and decisions the platform needed to support, and to define the results, metrics, and targets each office would measure against.
OneSix then architected a secure Data Hub that unifies sources across the university and applies continuous data quality testing in collaboration with the client. The implementation drew on OneSix's Student Lifecycle Framework, with higher education data models customized to the university's specific structure and constituencies.
The result is a 360-degree view of the student from prospect through alumni, available across student offices in real time. Constituents have timely, accurate access to integrated data without the manual reconciliation that previously consumed their time. Knowledge transfer sessions embedded the platform within the university's teams, accelerating organizational adoption and shortening time-to-insight.
